From the Back Cover of Nothing Personal: “Scott Pomfret and Scott Whittier met, fell in love, and now live together in Boston , Massachusetts . They realized the story of their romance wasn’t the only one out there. So they created Romentics for all gay men who believe in the happily ever after”….

Nothing Personal has all the earmarks of a gothic romance novel with one change… the main protagonists happen to be two gay men. Carlo Batista, a Cuban-American and his mysterious and intriguing love interest, Brain Gallagher.

Nothing Personal is a definite boy meets boy, boy gets boy, boy loses and distrusts boy, and you know the rest…  Scott and Scott’s character development is so full bodied and multi-faceted that you would think that you was reading a friends diary.

There are many really funny scenes. The story’s main antagonist is “Tall Tony”, the reigning State Representative for Carlo’s district. Tony has held on to the seat for many a year running it a lot like a Mob Boss. When Carlo decides

to run against Tony there is a debate. At the debate Tony collapses and Carlo is the one that knows CPR… and a photographer happened to get a good shot of Carlo giving mouth to mouth….

So if you are one of the guys that believe in the ‘Happily Ever After’, this book is for you.
