Weigle Wing CD Review |
"Different and the Same" Mark Weigle Review by: Len Aptly named, "Different and the Same" is all that. Different for Mark Weigle as the CD is a wonderful compilation of Mark doing covers. The same in that Mark delivers as always a unique music experience! One that while familiar has that definite "Weigle touch". The touch which exudes sensitivity, sexual energy, and thought. Packed with fifteen songs which showcase the vocal talents as well as offering some insight to the man. Introspective questioning combined with poignant sarcasm all embellished by the warm, inviting tone of |
Mark Weigle's intensely sensual vocal talents. Whether making you laugh, think, or take a moment, Mark does all this with compelling husky tones. Arrangements and accompaniment are outstanding. Veronica Klaus with Mark on "Jo and Libby" is a perfect blend.
"Different and the Same" starts mellow with "Hiding in the Stone", a warm inviting song of realization and sight. Jumping into a rousing "What I Like About You" which shows why Mark Weigle is such a powerhouse in the OUT Musician category. He makes his natural delivery and his life a part of his music with charm, humor, heart and style. BRAVO! Each song is an audible treat, an experience Weigle is adept at making very personal. Track 5, "AZT" by Maurice Kelly of the Kinsey Sicks, is Mark Weigle with pure shine. Statement, humor, good tune, and style! Weigle delivers with exuberance, energy, and perception. Closing "Different and the Same" with "Take Your Shoulder from the Wheel", Weigle leaves you with a warm feeling of satisfaction. Like he has just sent a huge comfortable hug. And maybe he did. Obviously a hit and a must add to any collection. Not just because Mark Weigle is good out GLBT music, but because he is just good music period!
