Mark Weigle Wing
Two time GLAMA nominated Mark Weigle has broken records with his first CD "The Truth Is", holding #1 for 17 weeks on the album chart at OutVoice.net. His second offering, "All That Matters" is well on its way to record breaking status as well. A great compilation, title track "All That Matters" has remained #1 for nine weeks on OutVoice.net. Mark also holds the distinction of being OutVoice.net's artist most supported by voters.
"All That Matters" is sure to please a wide audience with Weigle's country-folk-pop-and even rock-a-billy flavors. His smooth soulful baritone voice pleases the ears and enhances strong emotive lyrics. Some songs have a James Taylor feel, and or faintly reminiscent of Jackson Browne. Other possible influences in my opinion would include the early works of Dan Fogleberg. In all the CD is a melodic journey through emotional experiences of life and Mark's gay experiences while being honest, open, and available to all listeners.
Range is the key here. While even tempered, the CD takes you through several emotions, places, and styles. Title track and chart topper, "All That Matters" is a tender ballad with deep insights. The lively pop-country of "A Good Day" offers an upbeat look at daily life. "John" has an, on the edge feel, which adds bite to a view of an anonymous affair with a married man. SONiA of Disappear Fear joins Mark for "Other Houses". They are well matched in this powerful duet.
A definite "thumbs up", "All That Matters" is an excellent example of the wonderful talent of Mark Weigle, sure to be included in most GLBT music libraries. The sensitivity in Mark's entrancing blue eyes is confirmed in his music. For more information and purchase information just follow the links below.
