Hope Kapture Lauren Kain  Wing Dance

Hope Kapture: by Doug Stevens * This last October I went to the IGRA (International Gay Rodeo Association) finals in Albuquerque. Held at the same time as the finals was the 2001 IGRA Royalty election and the step down of the previous year's Royalty. I attended many of the fun and thrilling events surrounding both parts of the IGRA week-end. I saw some sexy, masculine gay cowboys (and cowgirls) competing in the rodeo events and I heard some great voices singing country songs from both sets of IGRA Royalty. On Saturday, I found myself inside a tent watching some of the Miss (Drag) IGRA contestants whup up the crowd and tease each other mercilessly.

Miss IGRA 2000, who was hosting the show, had also been Mr. IGRA at somepoint in the past. As, I sat there, I noticed a very pretty, blonde woman sitting in a chair along side the dance floor. You couldn't help but notice her. She was wearing a white sequined cowboy hat and flashy, metalic blue, sequined chaps with big white stars. She was also wearing a long blue jacket of the same material.

Miss IGRA announced that the next performer would be MS (a real woman) IGRA 2000. A dance version of ‘Cotton Eyed Joe’ began to thump from the speakers and the pretty blonde woman stood up and strutted across the dance floor. She was strong and athletic. She had a dazzling smile and incredible technique. She was spinning and dancing from one side of the dance floor to the other. She faced Miss IGRA, turning her back to us, and unbuttoned her long coat. Miss IGRA smiled big and flushed red because she saw before the audience did that MS IGRA 2000 was wearing chaps. Then Ms IGRA 2000, Hope Kapture, turned and tossed her jacket to the crowd, revealing her ass-less chaps. Now she was wearing a wonder woman sequined top and those chaps. Her energy level increased as she heard the audience roar! Her technique was perfect! When she turned her back to the crowd, she employed some of her stripper skills, twisting her body, stretching tendons and leaping with the precision of a ballet dancer. Not being very attracted to women myself, I looked at the woman next to me to check her response. She was flushed, her mouth open, every now and then looking aside to get her bearings.

Hope Kapture’s performance was flawless, spectacular!! We were screaming and standing at the end of her performance. She had us in the palm of her hand. If she had this kind of effect on a gay man, I cannot even imagine how she must effect women!!
