Skott Freedman Wing CD Review |
"Anything
Worth Mentioning" Skott Freedman Review by: Len Well there is a lot worth mentioning here! Skott Freedman, 23 year old bisexual singer/songwriter, activist has brought forth a thought provoking and powerful collection of musical emotion. A definite "piano man" in his own right, Freedman first compels you with his sound. Rich vocal prowess combined with Skott's ability to emote and capture through his keyboard skills grab and demand your attention. The lyrics are like a kaleidoscope of emotions, with each look you notice more. More |
depth, more importance, more self examination, more personal revelation.
Smooth, flowing, challenging and enticing all describe the experience of "Anything Worth Mentioning". Instrumentation, vocals, and lyrics all a dedicated collaboration to a finite end. From first play on, each listen is a somewhat new experience. Although the music itself remains constant the lyrics are chameleon like in the ability to alter our personal perception and understanding.
From the beginning "Intro" with music box feel to the familiar reminiscence of "Do You", Freedman has a myriad of thoughts, emotions, and memories to share. Musical strength joins force with messages which while personal, are also universal in comprehension. "Anything Worth Mentioning" is just that, whether looking for a relaxing listen or stimulating thoughts. It is all here. Freedman's skills as a poetic lyricist, strong soulful vocals, and an approach which ranges from tender to bold make for excitement. Expect to see more from this community oriented artist/activist.
