Artist: Dale Worley
Review By: Len Rogers

"Great Big Spirit" is so very aptly named as that phrase also describes the singer songwriter as well. Dale Worley, who goes simply by Dale, has a spirit which emanates through him. And that spirit is big, catching, and appealing. Dale brings his sprit to his music through style and energy. That the lyrics are sincerely are part of him is something you quickly learn from the man himself. Dale is a singer songwriter who is also a New Thought Minister. So to call his music religious and or Gospel is accurate. However, not all inclusive as a definition.

It is how Dale chooses to celebrate his Ministry and his music which makes all the difference. In both I am sure. No get down and pray for forgiveness you heathen sinners here. Nope. Lots of lets celebrate life and the joys of life yes. Lots of lets have a party, a big ole party, with spirit and a spirit party, yep. On Rainbow World Radio I referred to Dale's style as "Broadway Gospel" and I will stick with that. Spirited, directed, a definitive point, and of course a big finish make for a "Broadway" feel or even the Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland, "Let's put on a show!" would work. As the feel and excitement are spontaneous and infectious.

Packed with twelve songs, "Great Big Spirit" also has diversity and depth. From the personally poignant "Down The Road" to the hand clappin' and foot stompin' "Great Big Spirit", Dale and his effervescent spirit are strong. The gentle "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark" is touching and a song which all can relate to and enjoy. Dale classics like "Singin' Hallelujah" and "Spirit Party" will I am sure be iconic representations of both his music and Ministry. From this listener's view it seems the Ministry is the music when talking Dale, as evidenced in the personal and by some controversial, "My Beloved". A beautiful song which takes a new and inviting look at interpersonal relationships with a "Creator". This is a joy filled musical experience you will not expect or easily forget! This ain't just Gospel, this is Dale's Broadway Gospel!
