Music/Band Online Music Review: BrainCellMusic

BrainCellMusic.com, is a collection of multimedia creations by Ottawa artist and musician Tony Gamble. The topics are varied; family dysfunction, pumpin' dance floors, love lost, and personal loss are just some issues addressed with Tony Gamble's apt musical talent. Tony has his own take on "Pride" as well. Gamble's respect of other musicians is evidenced by his reference to another "Pride" by SWS member, and well known artist Jon Gilbert Leavitt. I have been continually impressed by the artists I have worked with during our promotion with regard to mutual respect. Tony gamble is no exception in this area.

Up tempo and thought provoking BrainCellMusic provides a great find for music lovers. Gamble provides some background for most songs, thus enabling a more personal connection to his art. "Very Jerry Holiday Mix" is a pounding techno remix of one of Tony's older popular tunes. Dealing with family dysfunction the lyrics take deeper connotations while the music is a vibrant expression of movement. Having a family member in another "Jerry" camp gave this one personal relevance, however I doubt anyone would miss his meaning. In the original "Pretty" and the "Pretty Dance Remix" Gamble combines controversy and contradiction with hard hitting lyrics and statements on love burned combined with music which takes you in the opposite direction. This interest ability is prevalent throughout Tony's music. No exception would be "David In Our Memories" a tribute for a young man gone at eighteen. Touching, introspective, and a tribute in the highest sense, a beautiful song. Full of feeling and emotion in both lyrics and music.
