Angela Marseglia Wing |
"Days Gone By" Angela Marseglia has one of those voices which like hot cocoa on a cold night, stick with you. She warms, embraces, taunts, and mostly pleases with her amazing alto vocal skills. Her influences; Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Pete Seeger, Peter, Paul & Mary, as well as Gordon Lightfoot are present but presented in an original and distinctly Angela Marseglia style. |
A self taught musician, starting at age twelve, Angela has a unique finger style. This "style" adds flair and even more unique flavor to Angela's music and message. An experience of personal introspection and reflection, "Days Gone By" takes you from inspired peaks to tender sadness and stark realism. More floating river than roller-coaster, the CD offers a breath of fresh air with thought provoking lyrics and musical style which brings overall enhancement to the total experience.
Eight strong tracks provide a brief insight to what Angela Marseglia offers through her music. Track number 6, "He Walks Alone" is a stirring piece with realistic vision and personal sense. This song just amazed me with its sensitivity and in touch message. All tracks are equally compelling and have a tendency to draw you into the art itself. But for me, "He Walks Alone" will always be one of those "special moments" when art touches you someplace personal.
