Named in honor of Karl Heinrich Ulrichs  August, 1825 to July, 1895.

Through his tireless efforts with Outvoice, Danny has raised community consciousness about GLBT music and GLBT musicians. Maintaining the only online chart tracking exclusively geared to GLBT music is a monumental task in itself. A pioneer in bringing our community musicians and their music to the forefront, Danny maintains lists and services which keep the music community in touch. Thus creating opportunities otherwise unavailable.  The total social worth of Danny's community contribution I am sure will not be fully understood for years. Let's just be glad he is and we can take this time to say Thank you and send our community appreciation.

I'm caught totally by surprise, but indeed honored to accept the StoneWall Society International Ulrichs Award for Exemplary Community Contribution.  It has been my pleasure helping to support GLBT musicians and working to bring a wider understanding of "out music" as an art form worthy of the larger gay community's attention. After eight years of Outvoice, it's very gratifying to see so many great organizations and communities taking up the cause. My most sincere thanks to everyone of them. - Daniel Jenkins
